Shah Cheragh Mausoleum

Old Congregational Mosque or Masjed e Jame ye Atiq
Founded during Amru Leis Saffarid's rule in 894, the Old Congregational Mosque is the oldest edifice in Shiraz. However, like most ancient buildings in the city, it was repeatedly shattered by earthquakes and other natural calamities, and every time it suffered such damage, it was carefully repaired. Virtually all the original structure, except perhaps the main sanctuary, has disappeared, and most of the current building dates from no earlier than the late 17th century.

Zinat al Molk House or Khane ye Zinat al Molk
A typical old house in Shiraz is usually enclosed by lofty, blank walls and consists of a series of interconnected rooms built around a central courtyard. Some rooms face east and south, and are sunny in winter others face north and are cooler in summer. There is always a in the middle of the court. The Zinat al-Molk House, which formerly served as living quarters of the Qavam family, conforms to this general tradition but excels most other mansions in Shiraz in the quality of its architectural and artistic treatment.

Narenjestan e Qavam museum
For the best impression of a traditional Shiraz mansion, one can visit the 19th-century Narenjestan (Citrus Orchard). The mansion was originally built by Mohammad Ali Khan Qavam al-Molk, a scion of the powerful Qavam family, which was rich to the extent that throughout the Qajar period its members ruled semi-independently over Fars and the Persian Gulf coast.
