Tehran's Ski Resort is visible from all over the city
Whether you have just one day or a long weekend, there are plenty of places to ski around Tehran. There are plenty of places to ski around Tehran. But among all them، the Tochal sports complex is the best choice due to different reasons:
Easy access.

Different ski slopes.

The Tochal Ski Resort has three separate slopes as follows:
Last but not least, skiing! you can go to Tehran's skiing resort by subway? This town is bordered by the Alborz mountains on the northern side – their snow-capped peaks are visible from all over Tehran. The mountains are over 5000 meters high, and ski resorts are located at 3700 meters above sea levels. That’s crazy high for European standards and allows you about 6-month skiing. It starts from October to May/June.
Tochal is in the vicinity of Tehran with easy and fast access. Just catch the subway to Tajrish, the end of the line, transfer on a collective taxi (just say ‘Tochal’) and then either catch a bus or walk to the cable car from the drop off point.
There you can get your cable car ticket – choose station 7 for the slopes, and remember that chairlifts on the pistes are included. You can also rent ski gear and even jackets, goggles and gloves.
The Tochal cable car is one of the longest in the world. 7.5 km, and it takes nearly an hour to go from 1500 to the top at 3740 meters. Once you get to the top, be prepared for freezing temperatures. It is -20 when in downtown Tehran it is 15!

This slope starts from the bottom of the Tochal summit at the elevation of 3850 m and ends in the hotel at the elevation of 3550 m. The slope length is 1200 m which is equipped with a ski lift and a chair lift. Considering the elevation of the ski slope, it is the first slopes in the country that is covered with snow and can be used more than eight months a year.

The 7th Station Ski Slope (Western hillside):
This slope is located on the west side of the Tochal mount with a length of 900 m. The highest elevation of the slope is 3750 m while the lowest point located at the elevation of 3550 m. This slope is fitted with a chair lift.

Ski Slope (from 7th station to 5th station):
The length of the ski slope is 5500 m which starts at the altitude of 3750 m and ends at the 5th station, located at an altitude of 2940 m.
